Supporting our Troops
U.S. servicemen and women and their families make tremendous sacrifices to protect our freedom. Vista Tech considers it a privilege to support non-profit programs that provide assistance to our services members and wounded warriors. We currently support Operation Comfort and Operation Homefront.
Operation Comfort provides rehabilitative therapeutic programs for wounded service men and women while they recover at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). Programs include sports programs, auto maintenance, outings and family financial assistance.
Operation Homefront provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors.
Giving Back to Our Community
Vista Tech offices and our employees are a vital part of our local communities. We are working to build strategic and meaningful relationships with local non-profit profit organizations in order to support our local communities and invest in the lives of our neighbors. We are currently supporting two San Antonio organizations.
San Antonio, TXLexi’s Place is San Antonio’s first transitional residential housing program supporting young women ages 18-24, aging out of the Texas child welfare system. The program provides a home environment, 3 daily meals, a 24/7 support staff and services designed to help them build life skills, increase academic success, develop job readiness skills and achieve emotional wellness that will lead to independent, healthier lifestyles.Vista Tech has recently donated surplus computer equipment for staff and residents. We look forward to a continued relationship with Lexi’s Place and are honored to support the residents in their journeys to lead successful, joyful lives in the San Antonio community.
Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio (HFHSA) works with low-income families who would not otherwise be able to afford a house. They partner with families in need and help them build affordable houses for themselves and their families at no interest and no profit. Vista Tech has scheduled a date in the Fall of 2012 for employees to volunteer a Saturday to help with the construction of a home in our local community.
